Development Services

Aerospace & Advanced Composites GmbH (AAC) provides development services for customers in the space, aerospace, industrial, energy and defense sectors. Together with industrial partners, research organisations and end users, we develop materials, components, test methods and test equipment for demanding technical applications and clearly defined operational requirements.

Our development activities are focused on practical implementation and application-oriented solutions. AAC supports customers in transforming ideas, specifications and technical challenges into validated products, qualified components, robust test procedures and fit-for-purpose equipment. This includes the development and optimisation of material systems, functional components, dedicated test setups and tailored verification approaches for demanding environments and use cases.

AAC works in direct customer projects as well as in national, European and institutional development programmes.

Typical AAC tasks in development projects include requirements analysis, concept refinement, technology maturation, engineering support, material selection, prototype development, test planning and validation. We perform test campaigns from initial material characterisation to testing of components and hardware on breadboard (BB), engineering model (EM) and qualification model (QM) level where required. Based on these activities, AAC provides performance assessment, design feedback and recommendations for further optimisation and implementation.

AAC furthermore helps connect material suppliers, manufacturers, integrators and end users in order to align developments with realistic requirements, qualification needs and first application targets.
